While working on large-scale residential developments in Australia and Dubai, CV’s founder and director, Alex Smith, realised there had to be a better way for residents, building managers and the local community to interact. Instead of filling up lifts and lobbies with traditional style advertising (e.g. photocopies, laminates and local advertisements), Smith envisioned a smart digital signage platform that would ensure ease of delivery, smooth communication, and also measure audience engagement.
By implementing facial recognition and viewer analytics, Smith has not only filled a gap in the digital signage market but also developed a concept that will pave the way for visual communication in large residential settings and beyond.
Smith trialled and tested technology from a range of the world’s leading signage companies. He joined forces with Nick Thorn, who brought more than ten years of design and marketing experience to the company. Progress was swift and CV soon forged relationships with some of the industry’s biggest names.
CV has completed the first successful installation of 4 media screens at Southbank Grand in Southbank, and will soon be ready to expand across its network of more than 100 buildings across Melbourne. Southbank Grand consists of 515 residential & 5 retail lots.
